Well I can't say I am sad to see him go. Let's just hope this Bob Gates will do us some justice with the "War on Terrorism."

My opinion is that I really don't think that this Iraq war is doing us any good, and Bush is for sure set on being there until we show signs of "defeat." Ok fine, well let me ask you something, does it look the Shite Muslims and the Sunni Arabs want to stop fighting? Civil war is upon this country. I know we are trying to give them freedom, but is this what you call freedom? Iraqis killing Iraqis and we are in the middle of it also getting killed?

I know this is a very touchy subject, I just hope now that we have new leadership in the house, maybe we can start talking about bringing peace instead of hearing all the time in/on the news how many of our US Soldiers were lost. I just hate being involved in other ppl's business. If they mess with us, sure I am all for going after the guy, but don't place the blame on someone else to take out the anger.

Sorry about this post.. I have totally just went into something that obviously is a sensitive subject to all of us.

There is No Need to be "Sorry about this post.. " or for any post (unless is is beyond the guidelines of decency and respectability).

You can't walk on egg shells all your life. Being "Politically Correct" is Bull. A rose is a Rose nomater what lable you put on it and the idea of I don't want to offend anyone does not do anybody any good. If your doctor does not tell you that you are terminal and that you have six months to go, you may delay getting your ffairs in order causing a lot of problems all around, Where by telling you it may be unpleasant to hear but at least you know to get things taken care of.

Iif people like where you are comming from great, if not it's time for them to grow up and recognise other people have opinions as well.

In part, I am also a little sad to see him go, as he is a friend of a friend.

In my book, the whole war on terrorism is nothing more than a way for the government to convince us that we need them, and that for a few more of our rights they will be sure to protect us.

Conspiracy theorists have a few points when they point to a chain of events (Actual or coincidental) that allowed the events of 9/11 to take place. Certain proticals not being followed, certain individuals actually present in this country - despite being on watch lists.

Why was Tower 7 brought down?

Did you see the movie Farenheight 911?
A bit slanted, but interesting.

The "Conspiracy" folks love to point, but they are right when they say this does not add up.

The IRAQI thing.

I can't think of any legitimate reason for us to be there, or for us to have gone there. It's GWB trying to show daddy that I got Sadam for you.

I don't approve of the US forcing Democracy down their throats, Their culture (right, wrong, or indifferant) is their culture and we must respect it (even if we don't like it) it has been in existance for a few thousand years.

We should pull out, let them have the civil war and then go in and deal with its victor.

The biggest problem with peace in that region (The Entire middle East) was Balfor (????) cutting up the area after WW2 without considering the feuds within the area (i.e. the kurds - turks - iraqi's)

I wish the US would fix the domestic problems before telling the rest of the world how to do things. Starting with leaving the UN.
